The New York Rangers and Points Attainable Esoteric

Everyone is swooning over the NY Rangers. Blah, Blah, Blah. They are in first place. They have such a big lead. Blah, Blah, Blabbity Blah.

Do you want to know where the Rangers really fall? They are in fifth place. The problem with your contemporary standings is that it doesnt take into consideration games in hand. The Rangers (20 GP) have played 3-4 games more than everyone else less Toronto (18 GP) & Montreal (15 GP). I have made a table so that you can look quickly at the Points Attainable rankings for all the teams in our conference. The table is located in the right margin of the esoteric page.

I have taken the liberty to cut and paste the top 5 team in the league so that you can get a better idea of why the Rangers are really in 5th place after games in hand and games left are taken into consideration. When you realize that Montreal has only played 15 Games so far and has only lost 4 games then you realize that the Rangers arent doing as great as everyone makes them out to be.

Team Pts Points Attainable
1 Mon 20 154
2 PIT 24 154
3 BOS 24 154
4 WAS 23 153
